As we prepare for the new energy of June 2025 to enter and support rebirth, renewal and new beginnings we are reminded that forgiveness and letting go is an essential practice of creating space in our mind, emotional body, spiritual body and physical body.
How do you create space? Through a deep practice of forgiveness, which is letting go of anger or resentment towards someone including yourself. As you release your attachment to these feelings that tether you to the past, you begin to create more space to be emotionally, mentally, spiritually and energetically in the present moment. When more space is created in the present moment, a pathway opens that welcomes new energy and opportunities in life.
Spirit (e.g. God and the Archangels) shares that forgiveness often requires a practice of compassion for yourself and others. Compassion is described as a perspective. Compassion is the perspective of understanding that all of humanity experiences pain, suffering and fear. Regardless of how people may attempt to hide their pain, suffering, fear and project an image of strength, clarity and confidence - all of humanity experiences moments, times, phases in life in which there is great pain, suffering and fear.
How each person individually is able to cope, resolve, avoid and/or learn from these experiences varies greatly. There are many factors that affect a person’s ability to cope and heal from these experiences such as the availability, reliability and strength of a social support network of trusted and healthy relationships, access to resources (e.g. education, training, counseling, mentors, mental health therapists), financial resources, their current mental and emotional health, geographical location, environmental factors (e.g. the socio-emotional and political characteristics of their school, neighborhood and broader community). Does a person feel safe to ask for help? Is there adequate help available?
When we are not sure how to manage and respond to these experiences of pain and suffering, we are likely to cause pain, suffering and fear in others, knowingly or unknowingly. This is not to excuse someone’s behavior, but, this perspective of compassion can help to expand cognitive awareness that the reason for someone’s actions are not primarily or solely about you, it may have more to do with other significant factors (e.g. within them and/or external to them) and experiences unrelated to you.
In this process of shifting perspective, we may begin to compare our journey with the journey of others (e.g. I have been through more painful experiences than them and I don’t act that way; we have similar education and family background, I didn’t turn out like that, etc.). Sometimes, we are challenged to offer compassion or grace to someone because their actions have triggered our own pain body (e.g. past hurts that have not completely healed or were hidden from our conscious awareness). When this happens, we are given an opportunity to heal these pains of the past.
Sometimes, forgiveness can feel like freeing the other person from taking responsibility for their actions, penance, justice, retribution, etc., which can make it feel quite challenging to forgive and let go. It is important to remember that you are forgiving and letting go of the pain, resentment and anger you feel and hold within you, not condoning or giving permission for others to act in ways that harm you.

THE MONTH OF MAY - IN REVIEW
If this month felt like an intense journey, it was intense for a reason. The universal energies amplified and pulled to the surface heavy energies that are ready for healing. Beyond what is typically on the surface and in your awareness, deeper truths were revealed. Deeper layers of learning, healing and growth.
Reflect upon the stresses and challenges of this past month, what deeper awareness and opportunity for healing did the universe provide? In these situations, how was the universe attempting to show you a deeper healing emerging from within you, rather than focusing so much on others?
In addition to creating space through a deeper practice of compassion and forgiveness for others and yourself, this is also an opportune time to reflect upon patterns of the mind (e.g. mindset) you are ready to release as well. Daily patterns of thinking generate an immense amount of energy that flow into the universe and play a significant role in how we experience life and affect our manifestation potential.
What are the habits of your mind you are ready to heal and release (e.g. expectation, obligation, entitled, victim, fear, catastrophize, avoidance, etc.) and what new habit of mind are you ready to implement?
The universal energy of light is here to support us in this time of transformation. Thus, we must be willing to do the work to create space for this light to enter into our lives and illuminate our new beginnings.
May you be guided and blessed by the divine light of the universe on this journey of renewal, transformation and rebirth. Aloha.
Thank you ✨
