In celebration of HNL Pride, I asked Spirit (e.g. God and the Archangels) to share messages and answer a few questions.
As a cis gay man, despite not being raised in a specific church or religion, I still found myself wondering what God thought about my sexual orientation - am I going to hell? am I a sinner? What does that mean? How could something that feels so natural / normal be so evil? Why would God allow me to be born, if I was not meant to be here?I thought God and Jesus Christ were about love and acceptance for all of humanity, why not me? Why would you do this to me - make me gay? Why do people call it a choice - I don’t ever remember a time where I got to choose my sexual orientation. The only thing I remember choosing was figuring out as many ways as possible to hide any possible sign that I could be gay. I learned to live in fear that this big, dark secret could be revealed and everyone would hate me and turn against me.
These questions lingered through much of college and into graduate school. Thankfully, since then, I have found resolution to these questions and am more accepting and loving of myself. The journey was not, and is not easy, but it gets better. I imagine there are others who may have also had similar questions as they navigate their journey of not just sexual orientation/identity, but, their sense of belonging, acceptance and place in this world.
We hope these channeled messages will uplift, support, and illuminate you on your journey of living in greater alignment with your light.
