It is an important time to expand your awareness and understanding of darkness and the various forms it takes within you and in others, because darkness brings sickness, misfortune and consequences to your life, your loved ones and your soul.

Deceit is a specific form of darkness that is emerging for awareness, learning and healing. Deceit is the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid; the quality of being dishonest or misleading” (Merriam-Webster online).

There are many ways deceit is clearly revealing itself everyday as the events of the world unfold. There are people clearly directing a lot of energy towards convincing others to believe that something is true, when in fact, it is not.

Why do people direct some much effort and energy to be deceitful?

Spirit (e.g. God and the Archangels) shares that deceit and deception are primarily motivated by a hunger for power and control, a need to feel powerful or special and to avoid feeling insignificant, unworthy, unloveable and powerless. From a psychological perspective, a Psychology Today article suggests there are three general reasons for deception: 1) To get what you want 2) To protect or promote yourself or 3) Avoid punishment.

Thus, deceit is a tool that is used to manipulate others to obtain what a person wants or needs (e.g. acquisition, protection, promotion of self, avoid punishment) through leveraging relationships and controlling information.

By controlling the narrative and only sharing a version of the story that is most beneficial to the storyteller or completely fabricating a story, deceit manipulates others to give a person what they want without their awareness or permission such as support (e.g. emotional, physical, spiritual, financial), attention, validation, time, energy, expertise and money.

While there is not much you can do to stop others from being deceitful, you can become more aware of deceit and how it reveals itself in everyday life. From a place of expanded awareness, you are better able to protect yourself, set boundaries and mitigate the negative effects of the darkness that comes with deceit.

CONSEQUENCES OF DECEIT

The light of the soul, birthed from divine light of the highest heavens resonates in truth, compassion and unconditional love. Deceit is a warped version of the truth used to manipulate others for personal gain and opens the door for darkness to enter. Deceit is a low vibrational energy and shadow that infects the soul and negatively affects emotional and physical health and well-being.
