As a reminder, the energies of this year are raw and powerful. The intensity of this energy is needed to assist you (or challenge you) to engage in a powerful transformation - leaving behind the old and embracing the new.
In this lunar year of the snake, a time to shed the layers of what no longer serves your higher vibrational state of being, your light, direction and purpose. This may refer to old thought patterns, limiting beliefs, ways of seeing the world, others, relationships and yourself. This is also a time to seek truth and clear away the parts of your mind and emotional body that create blindspots due a bias or desire to see more light or more shadow; truth often involves seeing both.
When these powerful universal energies are not channeled with intention into your life it can create significant turbulence in different parts of your life (e.g. relationships, health, work, flow, opportunities, etc.). When you are grounded, centered and focused with intention and purpose for your day, week, month or year the universal energies will naturally flow to support you, your energy and your intentions. As these energies align with you and your intentions, opportunities emerge and the potential for transformation grows. What kind of transformation will you experience this year? It is up to you to decide, so please choose wisely.
As you navigate your daily life it is common to feel less grounded, center and focused as the day unfolds. Therefore, in addition to a morning meditation consider practicing mindful moments and brief meditations throughout the day.
A mindful moment is taking a moment to breathe and ask your mind to be as present and aware (i.e. in observation not judgement) of what is happening right now:
Are taking full breaths with your piko “belly button” expanding or are you just breathing in your chest, which can induce anxiety?
Is there tension in your jaw or face?
Is there a feeling or emotion happening right now?
Where did these feelings, sensations or emotions emerge from within you?
You may also choose to practice brief guided meditations throughout the day - two meditations are offered below (93 seconds or 3:33 minutes).
These brief interventions throughout the day help you reclaim your energy and power from all the things that your mind and emotional body attaches to outside of yourself (e.g. an email or text message, a specific relationship, the way someone talks or treats you, a bad driver, a person’s negative attitude or behavior). When your focus attaches to what others are thinking, feeling and doing, you become vulnerable to feeling less centered, grounded and focused because your energy is now more concerned about others rather than yourself. In this way, you are giving your power away to others and you will feel more unsettled, anxious, irritable, and reactive.
Source (e.g. God and the Archangels) shares an example of giving power away:
If you are a captain of a ship in the open ocean, another ship appears on the horizon and your mind begins to wonder: Who is the captain of that ship? What is their intention? Where are they going? Do they see me? What do they think about me? Do they know what they are doing? Are they more experienced than me? As your mind continues to focus more on the other ship, you lose sight of your own ship. You begin to drift off course and realize you did not see a second and third ship emerge in the other direction and that you are drifting towards the reef.
When your attention is focused more on how others sail their ship rather than your own, the course you sail may inadvertently follow the course that all other ships sail rather than the one meant for you.
Thus, brief daily interventions of mindfulness or meditation help you to routinely redirect your energy from others and other things towards yourself; helping you reclaim your power, light, clarity and center. Over the course of the day, it is natural for your mind and energy to drift and attach to many seemingly “important” things and other people that distract and/ or drain your energy.
Source (e.g. God, Archangels, spirit guides) shares a reminder:
Do not give your power away to others.
You give power to others when your thoughts, feelings, emotions and energy change in reaction to their behavior. Thus, their behavior determines your energy, your wellness and your health. Too much empathy, especially when connecting with low vibrational energy and behavior will lower your vibration and have negative consequence to you - your health and well-being. Every soul is responsible for their health and well-being, that includes you. No one has the power to make you feel a certain way, unless you give it to them.
